Hi, I'm Patry
And this isn't a diet website
It's the recipe collection I wish I'd found when I decided to start eating better: normal recipes, with the information up front and explained so they turn out right the first time. Your change, your story.
Why this website exists
When I looked for my first “healthy” recipes I found two extremes that were equally useless. On one side, blogs that make you scroll through five screens of family history before showing you the amounts. On the other, accounts selling you pancakes made of nothing with a miracle sweetener, making you feel guilty for having toast for breakfast.
I wanted something much more boring and much more useful: the recipe, the amounts, the steps and knowing what I'm eating. That's all. Since I couldn't find it, I started building it.
How these recipes are made
Every recipe on this website is cooked before it's published, in a normal kitchen, with supermarket ingredients and no professional equipment. If something doesn't work the first time, the recipe explains exactly where it goes wrong, because it's almost always the same for everyone: dough that didn't rest, heat that was too high, an air fryer basket that was too full.
That's why you'll see so many “tips” inside the steps. They're not decoration: they're the things you learn by getting it wrong, and that recipes rarely tell you.
Where the nutrition information comes from
Every recipe shows calories and macronutrients per serving. They're calculated by adding up each ingredient's values from food composition tables and dividing by the number of servings.
They're approximate, and it's worth knowing why: two bananas don't weigh the same, one cut of meat can have twice the fat of another and the brand of yogurt changes the numbers. They're perfect for comparing and getting an idea; they're not a lab analysis.
What you won't find here
- “Forbidden” foods. Bread isn't the enemy, and neither is pasta, or a banana after 6 p.m.
- Miracle products. No detoxes, no fat burners, no supplements you have to buy through a link.
- Rigid diets or plans you have to follow to the letter. There are recipes here; what you do with them is up to you.
- Medical advice. This is general information: if you have a medical condition, an allergy or questions about your diet, what you need is a registered dietitian or your doctor.
How this website is funded
With advertising. That's what keeps every recipe and every tool free, with no sign-up required. Ads are always labeled and never influence what gets published: no advertiser decides which recipe goes up or what gets recommended.
An important note
I'm not a doctor or a registered dietitian, and nothing you read here replaces a healthcare professional. What you'll find is home cooking and general information. If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or have allergies, always check with a professional before changing the way you eat.Feel like cooking something?
